Dr. H. Sudarshan
Dr H Sudarshan is well known in the field of Primary Health Care, Tribal Health and Health Activism. He is the Winner of the Right Livelihood Award, which is alternate to Nobel Prize. He is the former Chairman of the Karnataka Task Force on Health and Family Welfare; is also the former Vigilance Director, Lokayukhta, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore. He manages VGKK and Karuna Trust and under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) with State Government, he is managing more than 25 PHC's.
He specializes in teaching Primary Health Care, Good Governance and NGO Management.

Dr Kishore Murthy

Dr. Kishore Murthy is a Medical Graduate from St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore with Post Graduate qualifications in Hospital and Health Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Tulane University/BITS, Pilani. He has over 2 decades of experience in the field of Hospital and Health Care Administration in teaching, research and consultancy. Have been teaching in various Hospital management institutes such as IHMR- Bangalore, KMC Manipal, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore which has a 2year MHA programme ( member of the syllabus committee ) and guided a number of students in their dissertation activities. He teaches operations management and strategic management.
He has served as Chief Executive Officer of several leading hospitals in the city. He has set up several hospitals which included from conceptual planning to commissioning various hospital projects such as Puttaparthy Super Speciality Hospital, Bangalore Hospital, Hosmat etc. Till recently, he was with A.F Ferguson & Co. as the National Senior Manager incharge of their Hospital and Health Care consulting practice for the whole country and presently, he is the Chief Operating Officer of Healthcare Global enterprises Ltd, a well known cancer care company which owns and operates more than 15 cancer hospitals in the country to deliver accessible and affordable quality cancer care. Earlier he was CEO of Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital a 200 bed Multi Speciality Hospital. He was also associated with the World Bank, UNDP, WHO & Government of Karnataka ( KHSDP ) and Government of India as a consultant and carried out several assignments including research for these Organisations in Health Care and Hospital Management.
He has been an active organizer and planner of several community outreach programmes both for the various hospitals he has been associated with especially St. Johns Medical College, Sri Sathya Sai Institute and also with several Non-Government Organisations and other Organisations. He was involved as a consultant with the Task Force on Health Government of Karnataka and was the prime author on public private partnership in health care, medical tourism. He was actively involved with the planning and implementation of the World Bank aided Government Hospitals Project to improve the Government Hospitals and deliver quality care. He is an active researcher on community based problems in health care especially with focus on hospital and health care administration. He is involved academically also by conducting various training and research programmes in hospital and health care administration for the State Government and Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has trained a No. of medical professionals in hospital and health care management. He is also an advisor to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and helped the university in preparing the syllabus of the post graduate course in hospital and health care administration. He is an active member of professional bodies such as IMA, AHA etc.

| Maj Gen NK Manchanda, Professor
Professor NK Manchanda joined Army Medical Corps in 1967, after graduating with Honours from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. During his distinguished service with Armed forces, he held various appointments of staff and headed a large number of hospitals including a super specialty 800-bedded hospital.
Prof Manchanda attended residential postgraduate one-year training course at College of Defense Management, Secunderabad and his also undergone short training in Strategic Management. Has been a visiting faculty at Department of Hospital Administration, AIIMS, New Delhi. Has passion for Telemedicine and implemented a Pilot project on Telemedicine, Northern Command, Indian Army, before retirement as Head of Medical services.
Post retirement Prof Manchanda gained rich experience of working as Head of a Corporate Hospital, i.e., Mallya Hospital, Bangalore, for a period of one and half years; and had been a visiting faculty at our Institute for PGPHM program.
Presently, Prof Manchanda teaches Hospital Operations, Materials management, Equipment management, OB and other theory papers and guides students and mentors faculty members, at our Institute.

| Dr Gururaj B Urs, Asst Professor & Program Coordinator
Dr Urs is a Postgraduate in Human Resources Management; he holds advanced degrees in Training & Development, Technical Communication, Entrepreneurship and Behavioral Sciences. Dr Urs has also obtained a Masters, MPhil and PhD in Clinical Social Work. He is Gold Medallist and Rank holder through out his academic career.
Dr Urs has several research publications in national and international journals and has presented research papers in various seminars/conferences; he has successfully completed several research projects.
Dr Gururaj is a Consultant Psychotherapist. His teaching, clinical and research interests are Organizational Development & Change, Human Resources Management, Psychotherapeutic treatment and rehabilitation of mental illnesses and Community involvement in general and mental health care.
Presently Dr Gururaj, designs and conducts research projects, teaches Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Marketing management, Business Communication and Entrepreneurship. He coordinates the PGPHM program at our Institute.

| Ms. Preeti Iyer Roy, Senior Research Officer
Masters in Home Science (Extension Education) from SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. Ms. Roy has experience in research and documentation. Her strengths are qualitative research, planning and documentation. Currently she forms a part of the Research and Projects wing and apart from being in-charge of a project related to HIV/AIDS; she lends her support by providing inputs regarding project planning and research methods to the students.

| Mr. Prasanna G Joshi, Research Officer
Mr. Prasanna Joshi has completed his Post Graduation in Sociology from Karnataka University Dharwad in 2002-2003. He has four years of experience in the field of HIV/AIDS and in data collection. He has worked with various national and international development agencies in several capacities. He has been trained in various components of HIV programs and research viz. Communication Skills, Behavioral Change Communication, Information Education Communication, STI/HIV/AIDS, Counseling, Gender Equity, Management Information Systems, data collection techniques etc. He is proficient in program, activity and budget planning, implementing, monitoring & evaluation, analysis and developing IEC materials. His strengths are good communication skills in the field, management and sensitivity about field realities.
Currently he is involved in all the projects being run by the Institute. One of his major roles is providing conceptual inputs in the HIV/AIDS project. Being proficient in the local language, he has emerged as an important member of the project team particularly during interactions with local persons.
